2015 28d X3 diesel

I need advise on a couple of problems, I don't want to be chasing my tail, it could be this it could be that so I want to know how to identify the real problems without replacing things and crossing my fingers.

1, Poor quality DEF fluid warning with count down activated, I have drained the old fluid just in case and added new. (no change)

2, We took it to the dealer and they found diesel fuel in the wiring harness and wanted to replace everything with a cost of $32,000.00. This is not going to happen.
I need to identify the component that is failing and sending diesel through the harness.

Has anyone else had this problem and how do i fix them? What software is recommended?

I found the problem with the fuel getting pumped around the wire harness. The low pressure sensor just before the pump is faulty, I blew it out (because it had diesel in it) then I started the engine and watched it fill up.
I need to replace the Sensor 8573385 BMW 96745 BMW sensor.

Next try and get rid of the poor quality def error.

Update?

Have you gotten this one figured out or fixed yet. I have one in my bay right now that has diesel in the harness and its gotten into the DME. Best I can figure is to replace the harness the fuel line with the sensor and the DME as I have about 100 codes that make no sense.

Side note the car runs great.
