Did the HUD used to display the radio station on it or was it my imagination. On the 2023 X4, it doesn't display the info on radio station.

On the HUD media list selecting radio shows current and list other stations that you can scroll through/select. It doesn’t show the radio station as a permanent part of the HUD display, but it can be shown on the configurable area of the instrument cluster.

So I try to configure the setting and it is not displaying the infotainment information such as phone calls coming in or radio station. Does anyone with a 2023 X3/X4 confirm that their HUD displays the infotainment information?

My HUD displays my song playlist in Spotify. Not sure about radio station.

I haven’t had any incoming calls while driving yet.

I confirmed the HUD is missing the infotainment information for incoming phone calls and music. Another cost cutting by BMW unfortunately.

Have you tried seeing what it looks like when using CarPlay?

Are they showing in your instrument cluster instead, such as when you scroll thru the music as an example?

It's likely you have the setting "Display infotainment lists in" Instrument Cluster rather than Head-up Display.

I double checked and it is set for head up display. The option for infotainment was just not there. I will check again tomorrow and take a picture of what is on the screen. Just wondering if its only my vehicle that might be missing that or is it throughout the entire 2023 X lineup.

Pretty sure it's not missing, and you're expecting it to do something it doesn't do.

My '21 (built 11/20) X3 never had an option for infotainment, and it never showed incoming calls. However, it did show the music, but it was not a constant visual of it, and only showed the music info when you used the scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel. Other than that it just showed speed and the rpm graphic, and BMW nav info if it was active constantly.

Edit: I guess there is a setting according to the online manual, but I can say that I haven't seen it as it is described in the manual, and it does only display briefly as needed like the manual indicates.

Correct. I've attached a video of which gives a good run thru of what information (static and brief) can be shown on the HUD with iDrive 7 (G20 shown)

What do you see in the HUD and instrument cluster when pressing the list function button the steering wheel shown below ?

Silly me, I didn't know you have to press the list button on the steering wheel, Doh! Now it works.
