White LED underneath gear knob

White LED underneath gear knob is quite bright and more noticeable from the rear seats. I tried to tone it down with a piece of red brake light repair tape from 3m. One layer made it look pink. Haven't experimented further but wondering if this was ever a topic here? I couldn't find anything in search.

Try multiple layers.

Try tail light tint instead

black electric tape would totally fix that right up. Personally though, I like that red tint. Just add another one and it should look great!
