Some Melbourne Red love
Compared to the other colors, Melbourne Red seems to be the least popular on the forum, so I thought I'd share some pics from my first week of ownership.
Overall, very pleased. |

This is the first time I second guessed my color choice. Red is by far my favorite color on a car. My last 5 cars were all red, so I figured I'd change it up this time, especially with such a unique offering in Thundernight. Hard to beat a bright red on a sporty car though.
Also love the spec on your car with Red over Cognac plus Shadowline. Wish I could've gotten the 18" M Sport wheels on mine. Awesome car! |

Looks really good. Red is one of those colors that I like looking at but could never own. Doesn't suit me.
Unless I ever buy a Ferrari I guess 😅 |

Beautiful color. There a discussion on other section about Toronto Red but I think Melbourne is the nicest of the two... So deep and no orange. Really too bad they didn't offer the same colors available to 240 to the M2.

The red on cognac look is awesome. If they offered the cognac vernasca leather (which they do in the M2 now, and did in the M440i in '22), I would've likely gone that route.

Really don’t understand why this colour is not more popular think it looks great. When I was looking in UK out of circa 40 cars nearly new / new there was literally 1 in this colour.

While I would not get for myself, looks great! I actually had a MY22 330 as a loaner when the car went in for a safety check for two days. That was red, and confirmed that it does not suit me.
I will enjoy vicariously! |

Congrats, great combo. I do think however that on the door panels a larger proportion of Cognac vs black would look better. And not sure about the M colors, work well with full black but not with Cognac IMO.

Saw this one at my local dealership today. Generally not a red car type of guy but here it really works. Beautiful spec!
