X5 M50i tires (help)
Are the 22” non run flat Continentals an incredibly soft tire? I purchased my 22 M50i in May of 2022 and am now fixing to buy a 4th tire. I can’t plug the leak. It seems in 6700 miles I have the worst luck (finding every screw on the road) or these tires just aren’t that tough? I have Pilot Sport 4S on my Vette and have half the miles but zero drama.
Has anyone switched from Continentals to something else with better results? Is my luck just bad? I am spending a fortune on tires! Sadly opted to not purchase tire and wheel plan - won’t make that mistake on my next BMW. What compounds the issue is the seemingly low availability of the OEM Continentals. This tire sticks great and the vehicle drives amazing so id hate to lose that but am willing to in order to not have tire drama such as emergency roadside repairs in wet cold weather. I have become a one man NASCAR pit crew and recommend the below link for roadside. Get a good portable air compressor and you should be good to go while you wait for a new tire or tires. I have only had the pirellis (pzero) and I don’t experience that kind of “bad luck”, though living in new construction zone has increased punctures last couple of years. These performance tires are definitely softer. I usually get about 15k out of the pirellis.

Changed from Contis to P Zero as I had the Pirellis from the factory on my F15 X50. Day and night difference in grip and ride comfort.
