Whistling sounds while accelerating
I have an 08 n54 stock with 95k miles. Can anyone help with this whistling sound. It only comes on from about 1800rpm to maybe 2700rpm.
I’m hoping it’s something simple and not a major problem. https://youtube.com/shorts/UBomILXeGWc?feature=share

I believe the turbos going out i drove on a loose rear inlet gasket for 2-3 months (not recommended ) but it didnt sound anything like that. it just sounded like any turbo just amplified.

grubster Are you running cat-less DPs? After installing those in my car I could hear the same thing. More siren, less whistling, but after reading posts in the forums I've determined it's the turbos. Installed and went FBO at 112k miles. Car runs fine, no smoke, hits boost target, zero misfires, but I'm original stock turbos. I'm at 117k miles now. Could be your situation.
