Installed my JB2 last night

I installed the JB2 and the single cone intake last night and went out for a drive right there and then. I had a little less than a quarter of a tank of gas left in the car and the temperature outside was around 50 degrees. I immediately felt the difference and so did my passenger. First gear was a joke, kept spinning the whole way throughout the rev band. 2nd and 3rd pulled like no tomorrow. Everything was great til i went at it again this morning. It felt a lot slower than it did last night. This time i had no passenger and a full tank of gas. First gear hardly broke traction. I know some of you said the ECU adapts to it so I got a question. I went out for a pretty long drive last night (40 miles) and cruised at around 90 the whole way through. You guys think the ECU adapted to the cruising style of driving or am I trippin out? lol

PS. The intake was so worth it. It actually sounds like a turbo car now.

I just installed mine(jb2) a couple weeks ago and have not noticed a drop in power, it actually did improve the next day.. but it also may help that I added some higher octane gas in the mix.... Did your decreas in power happen in the morning? I notice my car is very sluggish before it has time to warm up.. but thats also stand stock...

Also remember if it was much colder last night, it could have made a noticeable difference. Everything works more efficiently in the turbo system when its colder. Denser charge going in the turbos, more cooling from the intercooler, less timing retard, etc, etc. Sometimes almost 1hp per degrees F.

If what you say is true then most likely it's the weather effect. I guess i'll just drive at nights from now on haha

Okay I drove it all of today and it was as fast as the other night. The temp was 82 degrees today so it's not the weather. What makes it go fast one day and be a snail the other? I'm guessing the ECU is fully adopted by now and should be consistent.

P.S. How many of you with intakes floor it to hear the spool up and blow off? Haha i look like a dick in parking lots, but its soo sick.
