What is this hole and is it supposed to be there?

looking at a used X5 in another state. This hole is on both sides. It looks to me that there is supposed to be a PDC sensor here? Image attached.

I have the same two holes. There are not supposed to be any PDC sensors there. I am not sure what those holes are for though - may be for air circulation?

I was wondering the same thing on mine. I never looked closely but figured it had something to do with the adaptive head lights....

It is for adjusting the fog lights, there is a screw in there.
