Service Warranty
It appears when I purchased the car a service warranty was purchased with it (they snuck this in without me realizing it). This isn't a BMW warranty but rather a 3rd party. I had a question regarding the service warranty before I started the cancellation process.
This is what is covered in the engine: ENGINE: All internally-lubricated parts including crankshaft, crankshaft bearings, oil pump, pickup screen and tube, fuel pump, internal timing gears, timing chain, timing belt, camshaft, camshaft bearings, valve lifters, rocker arm assemblies and pushrods, valve guides, pistons and rings, wrist pins, connecting rods, rod bearings, hydraulic lifters, exhaust manifolds, distributor drive gears, engine mounts, intake valve, exhaust valve, balance shaft, valve springs, rotors, rotor seals, rotor chamber, eccentric shaft, bearings, diesel injectors, injection pump, EGR valve, EGR cooler, EGR valve position sensor, oil cooler, lines, nozzles, electric motor, transaxle, electronic transmission, power controller, inverter, and generator(s). Engine block and cylinder head is only covered if damaged by an internally-lubricated part. Factory-installed turbocharger or supercharger is covered along with all of the above listed parts or equivalent plus: waste gate controller, intercooler, hard lines, compressor, bypass valve, clutch, and pulley. Would I be able to use this warranty to upgrade the charge pipe, or possibly any other performance mods? |
