PVC fencing

My partner's wooden garden fence has seen better days and we're considering a replacement. Can't be bothered with maintenance so wondering if PVC is the right option. Haven't seen any in the flesh and worried it will look too plastic/fake.
Looking at this company as they are good on price. Any advise?

I think some of the composite fencing looks great but usually in non wood colours like anthracite on a modern property. I think if you try to make it look like a wooden fence it will look very fake.

A pressure treated wood fence will last decades.
The trick is never to treat or paint it as once you start it’s a regular task. Accept that the fence will go silver / grey about a year after installation.

We painted our fence with the cuprinol 3 years ago. Its really brightened things up like this stock image and looks the same. A lick of paint every few years i guess is a fair bargain.

Our elderly neighbours 2 doors down (no longer with us) were 'sold' a composite fence by their children (clueless)...

It lasted a few years; got hit by falling branches from the trees in the woods behind; cracked/plenty of holes and in the winds we had back in 2021; a few panels disappeared overnight!

They got the whole fence replaced with decent quality, treated panels and concrete posts... It's all still there and still looks as new and we've had worse weather since...!

Food for thoughts

Each to their own but I like to treat the fence (or any tanalised timber) once every couple of years with some nice UV-resistant Osmo oil to maintain the look. Leave it 12 weeks at first untreated to allow mother nature to remove any synthetic treatments and to improve the absorption of the oil to penetrate.

The OP said they didn’t want any maintenance.
