The Northern Lights, Scotland

I'm sure many will have seen images of the Northern Lights taken from around the UK last Sunday, 26th February.
I thought you might like to see just a few of mine taken at Lossiemouth West Beach, just a mile from home. I have been photographing the Aurora for many years now, but last Sunday was one of the best displays I have seen.

Really nice!
I managed to capture some this past week in Sweden. It was the first time I saw the lights.

Amazing, in pic 1 what are the 11 dots in a perfect vertical row ?

That will be the strobe beacon of a high flying aircraft. I'm guessing the exposure was quite long.

Great pictures. We had fantastic displays down here in Lochaber.

I've seen a few pictures this week from friends and family taken in several places around the area, including just out of our village. I'm waiting to see what my grandson captured, as he used his camera up on the croft, away from any artificial light. My son's iPhone pictures are pretty good.

Exactly right, the wing lights of an aircraft heading north-west and captured during the 15 second exposure.

Thanks Pete, I've seen some great shots from over your part of the world, especially on Skye and the far north-west.
I've also seen some amazing shots taken on phones.
