22” wheels mega thread
Hey all, so I’ve been searching a ton and finding all types of infos on wheels. I’ve read all 35 pages of the aftermarket wheel thread and really wanted to consolidate info on 22” wheel fitment on the G01 platform. Would love additional confirmed setups to compare as I look to place an order. I’ve read all 35 pages of the aftermarket wheel thread and really
Here’s some of what I’ve found: Lowered: NO Fronts: 22x9.5 +16 265/35/22 Rears: 22×11 +35 295/30/22 Issues: slight rub at full lock, hoping to resolve with lowering Lowered: YES Front: 22x9 +25 Rears: 22×10.5 +35 Issues: None I’ve also read that the recommended tire size is 265/35/22 - 295/30/22 if staggered as to not screw with the XDrive system. Help?

Socal, Ventura to be exact. Car gets driven ~4k miles a year. There’s always a chance for issues, but the looks seem worth it.

Wheel diameter is 3/10" less than a 245/45/21 and I'm told that doesnt rub. If it would it would be on the spring plate as it's tight on top with stock 245/40/21.

Can you also post your offsets? That’ll help people a ton. Also, lowered or not? As of now I think I’m sold on: Fronts: 22x9.5 +16 — 265/35 Rear: 22x10.5 +30 — 295/30 Rear 11” sounds awesome, but 10.5 is also plenty wide. |

Finally installed.
22x9.5 et16 - 265/35 22x10.5 et30 - 295/30 At a complete full lock I’ll get some rubbing, but otherwise no issues and a nicely square setup |

I’m looking at getting 22” Vossen HF5’s in satin bronze. 22x9.5” front and 22x10.5” rear. It doesn’t show what the offsets would be. I’m also going to be lowering 35-40mm on H&R springs.
Tyre package offered with the rims are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S XL front 265/35 ZR22 rears 285/30 ZR22. Now I don’t know if these are star rated tyres made for BMW which I’ve read can mess with the xdrive system if they aren’t and the rears seem to be slightly narrower than what your all fitting. https://www.prestigewheelcentre.co.u...5&rear=22x10.5

295 is at the 1% max suggested diameter difference f/r 305 (if it exists in a 30/22) is the best choice at 0.3%, but would fit better on a 11” wheel https://tiresize.com/comparison/ |

This is the tyre package offered by the company specifically for an X3M.

Is it not the difference between the front and rear tyre widths has to be within 1% to be compliant with the xdrive system?

It’s not the widths; it’s the diameter
Revs per mile etc Input various f/r specs into that comparison tool and look at the percentage differences X drives needs a number at 1% or less My new set arriving is at 0.3% (265/40 fr and 305/35 rear) |

The company can offer whatever they want but does not necessarily mean it will work out in your vehicles favor.
