Is BMW Advanced Car Eye 3.0 Pro worth it?

I am considering the Car Eye or a BlackVue DR900X-PLUS Series camera. I haven't had a dash cam before, but after a few close calls I am thinking it might be a good investment.

I don’t have either one but I think most on the forums here would end up recommending Blackvue from what I’ve seen others post.

I have the BlackVue DR900X 2-Channel and it works great! I installed it myself with the added external battery pack so it can continue to record even while the car is parked and not use the car's battery.

Car Eye 2.0 will forever be the most advanced and easy to use clearest amazing version ever made.
BTW, I have a new unopened 2.0 I will sell if anyone wants it.

I think it's an excellent idea, regardless of the brand.

I lost my E39 M5 in an accident, and fortunately I had a witness in another car stick around and report what he saw. Otherwise, it would have been he said/he said, and likely no fault would have been assigned.
