20 inch style 869 wheels
I just placed an order for X1 with M Sport package and 19 inch wheel.
While watching some youtube video, I found out that US X1 can be spec out 20 inch wheel, but I did not see this option from the BMW online configurator. Is this wheel still available for US X1? |

Mine has 20” and I really love how they look! Got the floating caps and it’s the perfect match for the XLine. |

Also this was a build that was sitting in the port due to the recall since beginning of February, so by then the option was still a thing. I will keep you posted in a few days when I pick it up |

Out of curiosity, do people ever get the Wheel/Tire Protection plan from BMW? I declined the coverage when I picked my X1.. I have the 19" wheels.
I just have the tire protection from Discountt ires for like $200 for all 4 tires. |

I got it on my 3 Series with run flats - it wasn't worth it. It's definitely not worth it with non run flats which most places will patch for $25 if you get a nail in your tire.

I never buy the tire and wheel protection plan, it's a waste of money for me that could go towards a set of good aftermarket wheels and tires. For others it could be good if they just don't want to deal with the hassle of it all, but I'm fine with patching my own tires. Especially now that the cars don't come with run flat tires, if I ever have to replace a tire I can just order one off amazon.

I had to deal with puncture only once in past 8 years on my 3 series which has run flat tires, and thanks to Discount Tires who patched it up for free.
And I like their protection program for $50 a tire where they replace it when they can’t repair/patch it for 7 years. I don’t think anything can top that. At best replacing one tire will get all your money back and at worst that’s 8 cents a day to cover all 4 tires. The biggest selling point of protection plan from bmw is on the wheel itself including cosmetic fixes. Since they are expensive. |

However, if you go to site below and refresh the page until 20 inch wheel appears under popular combination optioned car, you can then customize that car and 20 inch wheel will remain with your custom build as long as you do not change wheel option. https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...tivity-vehicle |
