20 inch style 869 wheels

I just placed an order for X1 with M Sport package and 19 inch wheel.
While watching some youtube video, I found out that US X1 can be spec out 20 inch wheel, but I did not see this option from the BMW online configurator.
Is this wheel still available for US X1?

Yes, 20” wheels were available in US, but not anymore (online). Probably this is not a permanent change on the ordering guide and it’s just a temporary supply chain issue for that style?

Mine has 20” and I really love how they look! Got the floating caps and it’s the perfect match for the XLine.

Mine just arrived at the dealership and they look great! ( at least in pictures ).
Also this was a build that was sitting in the port due to the recall since beginning of February, so by then the option was still a thing.
I will keep you posted in a few days when I pick it up

Oh boy, I hope you made them remove that tacky "SEWELL" billboard on the rear of your car. I hate it when dealers do that.

Both looks great. I think 20 inch wheels definitely gives more presence to the X1.

Those 20" wheels are sharp. I had to pass on them because they only came with summer performance tires.

Out of curiosity, do people ever get the Wheel/Tire Protection plan from BMW? I declined the coverage when I picked my X1.. I have the 19" wheels.

I just have the tire protection from Discountt ires for like $200 for all 4 tires.

They put a sticker on mine. I hate that free advertisement. I will tell them when I pick up my plates.

I got it on my 3 Series with run flats - it wasn't worth it. It's definitely not worth it with non run flats which most places will patch for $25 if you get a nail in your tire.

I never buy the tire and wheel protection plan, it's a waste of money for me that could go towards a set of good aftermarket wheels and tires. For others it could be good if they just don't want to deal with the hassle of it all, but I'm fine with patching my own tires. Especially now that the cars don't come with run flat tires, if I ever have to replace a tire I can just order one off amazon.

I had to deal with puncture only once in past 8 years on my 3 series which has run flat tires, and thanks to Discount Tires who patched it up for free.

And I like their protection program for $50 a tire where they replace it when they can’t repair/patch it for 7 years. I don’t think anything can top that. At best replacing one tire will get all your money back and at worst that’s 8 cents a day to cover all 4 tires.

The biggest selling point of protection plan from bmw is on the wheel itself including cosmetic fixes. Since they are expensive.

My dealer was able to modify my order, so it will be built with 20 in wheel.

I did not ask. But what's funny is that this wheel option still exists on BMW USA X1 configurator.
For example, check out this build.

Not for me when I go to Build Your Own. 20" is not shown as an option.

Yes, you cannot see 20 inch wheel when you do build your own from scratch.
However, if you go to site below and refresh the page until 20 inch wheel appears under popular combination optioned car, you can then customize that car and 20 inch wheel will remain with your custom build as long as you do not change wheel option.
