wheel spacers

What’s everyone’s opinion on what you think will be the best size for a good flush fit taking into account the car will be lowered (not slammed)? 12mmR/15mmF maybe?

That's a lot of poke IMO. I would go like 5-8mm honestly unless you love the risk of curbing the eff out of your wheels.

Edit: I have to amend this opinion after seeing companies going with up to 15/18 after lowering. Apparently there is serious gap from the factory.

Guess because I was comparing it to what I have on my M240i (which I know isn’t exactly an apples to apples comparison). I’m currently using 10-12mm on that and it’s just about right but could poke a touch more imo. My G87 isn’t showing up until mid to late May so I’ll check to see what the first deliveries are gonna do with spacers and see how they look to give me a better idea. Are you doing spacers when you switch the wheels out?

What spacer you may, or may not, need depends on your rims. The spacers needed if staying stock or getting aftermarket rims with the same exact size/offset would be different than if you get aftermarket rims with different offsets which may cause the need for different sized spacers or eliminate the need for spacers altogether.

I'm not - for now. I don't like the idea of extra weight and risk to the rims.

Got a set of 827m wheels which are the same size/offset as the 930m

I'm hoping to figure out the ideal offset, if I can avoid spacers (and the additional weight) that would be ideal.

Any reputable dealer that sells wheels should be able to tell you what offsets you can run on stock setup without rubbing. May take a while for them to figure that out, they'll need an M2 to test it on. If you have spacers already in different sizes, you can do some trial and error yourself until you find what works best.

Another thing to consider is if you lower the car, you'll need less positive offset than if you were at stock ride height.

IND will more than likely give us a side by side breakdown of different widths soon enough.

I also saw IND has some front wheel well liners with extra clearance, just in case. I don't have spacers, this is my first actual car worth modifying in about 6 years.

Fortunately the wheels I have coming from Richland Forged should provide me 12mm poke in the front and 15mm poke in the rear. Even without a drop, based on the photos from IND, that should provide a much better stance. It'll be further enhanced by HAS.

I think IND did 15 front and 12 rear, I may be mistaken, I'm trying to find their post with no luck.

Found it

Yep I think they did. Richland wanted to provide me the ability to go wider tires in the rear if desired as well.

Looking forward to seeing how it looks with everything else stock before doing HAS and such.

I think I'm aiming for an extra 12 poke up front and 10 in the back. With HAS port installed and 10-15 mm drop I think it will sit well.

Nice! Looking forward to seeing everyone's mods!

I have some carbon bits coming from RW Carbon. I feel the ZB needs a little contrast to break up all the blue.

I was going to use black on the roof and a few other spots, but I'm all in on CF now. I am getting the decal that is in this photo to break up all of the blue on the side.

I like that! After seeing the decal on Zero's car, I liked how it broke up the blue, and am on the hunt for a decal. That one will go on the list of possibilities.

I wanted it B4, and asked my CA for it and it was no longer available, then once I saw the one on zero21 I reached out to him again and he found the p/n and is ordering it for me separately because it is on back order (which is why it is not available for port install).

I think a decal actually looks good on the side at this point and prefer it over a non-decal car. I am getting a custom design with my digits (021) and this will be part of my phase two project.

Plus it's worth at least 5hp

Only 5??? Hmmm and about 5 lbs of weight loss and significant drag reduction also right?

Only thing I dislike about that decal is the 'M Performance' writing on it, otherwise as you said I do like how it breaks things up.
