Lowered G87(Black) on H&R Springs and spacers
Got my G87 lowered on H&R SS springs for the G80.
+ 12mm square spacers. Front is perfect, rear needs to drop 2cm more + 2-3mm more of poke. |

Nice. That 12 front looks more aggressive than the 15 IND was running.
What are the H&R spring specs? What's the drop? How's the ride quality? Edit: spring spec is 1.4in drop front (35-40mm) and 1in. (25mm) drop rear for anyone wondering. Last edited by zero21; 04-24-2023 at 10:56 AM.. |

You've nailed the spec on the springs, rear needs to drop a bit more. |

Yeah the stock G80 fitment is borderline grotesque with the rear wheel sitting at half the height of the front. Good to know what a solid inch of drop will do though. |

This is why I'd go with a HAS kit vs springs. With a HAS you can dial in the ride height and in this case would be able to lower the rear. Also, a good one will come with shorter bumper stops which is a must.

Still waiting on someone to throw on some KW HAS. That's the route I want to go.

I understand but mainly street driving, H&R adjustable would be the better route vs KW coil overs. I have had cars with both the the H&R adjustables and KW Var 2 and the H&Rs were a much better product for the street. |

The KWs we're talking about are not coilovers, they have a HAS kit too.

Waiting on the HAS, had the G80 springs in hand. And, I was tired of looking like a lego trying to be a monster truck.

When PSI dropped their car on the AST kit they actually needed 15/18 spacers because the wheel sank back into the fender. Your springs seem to keep not only stock fitment but maybe even negative adjustment.
Maybe that's the difference between just springs with no bump stops...? aerobod |
