caliper bracket bolt
Hi.
I am planning to change brakes on my f34 and was looking at new caliper bracket bolts. The ones on the car are the normal bolts but when i google the oem number i get only bolts with torx head?? Can someone tell me if this is correct, did bmw change bolt type? |

BMW tends to use "whatever they have that day" for various bolts on the suspension parts. Sometimes they're regular hex head, other times they're etorx. The important thing is that the thread size/pitch/length and bolt grade are the same.
The etorx bolt should be interchangeable for you.

Yes, you are correct. I must have looked in the wrong spot while doing research on lower control arms.
Just checked my 2017 F34 with blue calipers and wife's 2015 F30 with grey M Sport calipers - both cars have torx screws at the front. Check out the image shown in the Canadian catalogue for the correct part number. Looks familiar? - Could just be a mistake in the image though. https://shop.bmw.ca/p/BMW__/Torx-scr...106864424.html
