540i Bootmode3 Stage 1 Dyno Results

Finally managed to dyno my car after installing BM3 stage 1 a few weeks back. I am running the 93RON map. Numbers look good, but I’m surprised to only get 574NM, looks like it just slowly dies down. Haven’t seen any other dyno charts. Would be interesting to see what everyone else has managed to get.

I believe 420HP / 430ft/lb (580NM) are the generally accepted values when running 93octane (98RON).

Standard ZF8HP50 torque converter has a 500NM cap (some say 550NM) and may slip if you're pushing more torque. Many people recommend getting XHP to remove those torque limits.

BM3 removes the torque limits in their tunes. That said, I'd still highly recommend picking up xHP anyway. Perfect pairing.

That's not precisely how it operates. There aren't universally accepted values. It all hinges on the calibration of the dyno and the environmental conditions.

Unless you can get a baseline run with a stock car on the same dyno and under identical conditions, I wouldn't put too much stock in the current figures you're seeing.

Thanks Mike!

It may not be precisely how it operates but OP's numbers are very close to the numbers that you'll see advertised across multiple different tuners for their stage 1 OTS maps.

Thanks for posting the results. I’ve been eyeballing a stage 1 tune myself. Always like seeing results.
