Finally got the M2 lowered! Love the ride quality and how much more aggressive it looks.

In the video I share some things that you might want to think about before you do the same. Things that will probably save you time and money in the long run.

If you just want the info…

KW HAS kit dropped as low as they can go. Macht Schnell spacer 15mm front 18mm rear.

Ride quality is still really good, just a tad more stiff but allows for a more planted feel.

About a one finger gap front and rear now.

A few questions:

1) Does the KW kit come with shorter bump stops?
2) Do you have any rubbing issues on the front fender liner?
3) Have you felt the shocks bottom out at your current ride height?
4) Any extra noise from the suspension post install?
5) Have you adjusted what setting you normally use on the shocks?

Here is a photo of what was included in the kit and also the spacers.

I have zero issues rubbing at all and even with our crappy roads here in Tucson I have yet to feel the suspension bottom out at all.

I have noticed a small click when I’m backing out of my driveway. The click comes from the rear suspension.

I keep it in the same setting as I did before. I keep it in comfort when daily driving. But yesterday I took it on some mountain roads with the suspension in sport and it almost felt better than it did when it was stock.

I’ve been interested in seeing more spacer setups with M2s that have been lowered. It’s interesting both PSI and IND both have different spacer recommendations with the same set up after the car was lowered. IND recommends a 18f/15r setup PSI recommends a 15f/18r setup. Both with stock wheels before swapping them out. I’ve ordered a set of 15 and 18mm spacers w/ a KW HAS kit so I plan on playing around with it to see what looks best to me.

Honestly I think the best look would probably be close to 18 both front and rear. I’m going to try that out but 100% 18 in the rear is perfect.

I know AST has a kit, not sure how low it goes. V3’s will work, haven’t looked to see if they are even out for G87 yet.

Well I know that’s the KW HAS kit is literally the same part number as the one for the G80 so I’m sure it’s the same with the V3s

KW HAS goes 35mm down, there’s a couple of kit going down to 45mm (AST, MSS ultra low, Cobra suspension, MMR)

We need more coilover option for sure!

I think I’m trying the 18mm on the fronts first. Sitting stock, the fronts look more sunk in and small when staring at it a bit more today. Seems like putting bigger spacers on the fronts will push them out a tad further to give the appearance of filling out the wheel wells a little more. Really wish I went with 20 inch wheels up front lol

Yeah I did the alignment the same day it was lowered.

It's weird, when I google the kit, some show that it comes with new bump stops, but KW's site doesn't.

I thought they came with shorter bump stops too. You can email KW and ask them; their customer support is pretty good.

Ok I'm super confused, in the pic you posted there's no bump stops or wrenches for height adjustability, but in the video it looks like you got the 4 bump stops.

Or are those the OEM bump stops? It's hard to tell, they look pretty similar. Ride quality could be more harsh if you didn't swap out for the right bump stops. Bought mine from IND and it came with all 4.

Yeah. I wouldn’t say the springs drastically changed the stiffness or anything like that but it’s for sure noticeable. I actually prefer how it is now vs. the stock springs.

Why would the ride be harsher with stock bump stops?
