Will there be a dual motor i5 40i? I think so...
Although BMW hasn't announced it (...yet!),...at least I haven't seen any info stating there will be a dual motor i4 540 (...545, etc);...however, a dual motor i4 40i is said to be coming with nearly 400hp (396hp),...this should allow for a very spirited AWD i4 40i,...and if the range is better than 300 miles per charge,...in Winter! Then it would be the sweet spot to select from the i4 range! Therefore, I'm thinking BMW will play that card twice with the i5 as the G60 chassis matures!

I wonder whether there will be a roughly 500ps i5 xDrive50 (or i5 M50 xDrive?) to slot in-between the base i5 eDrive40 (340ps) and the top of the range i5 M60 xDrive (601ps). It would make sense, since the top engine designation in a given segment usually corresponds to the second best engine designation in the segment above (respectively 50, 60, 70 for the i4, i5/iX, i7).
