production to dealer

Well after the seemingly never ending wait of a year and a half my M3 finally hit production today. I was curious how long it’ll be until the car hits the dealer anyone have an idea not sure how its been lately from getting through the line and then shipped over to the US.

Mine was 2 months and 4 days from hitting status 150 to arriving at the dealer. Just under 2 months from 151.

People have shared their real time dates in the below thread but it can vary drastically due to logistic delays.

Mine finished production 5/9. From there it got onto a ship and left Bremerhaven on 18 May. Scheduled to arrive to Port Hueneme on the west coast 14 Jun. Estimating about a week for customs and processing with delivery about a week later. I'd imagine the trip to the east coast is shorter according to others. Once you know what ship you are on, you can do a little digging online and figure out when its supposed to arrive at your port of entry and then do some quick math from there to determine when it gets to your dealer. This is assuming all things are good. There are delays sometimes pertaining to recalls, port issues, ship issues, etc. Some are lucky and have no delays, others are not and have significant delays. Hope this info is helpful.

I woke up praying to the BMW gods every morning, offered a small sacrifice in cursing other brands, and promised to always use my blinker to not give BMW drivers a bad name.

So this is what I’ve been doing wrong. Need to up my game. Currently just shy of two weeks waiting on a boat. That’s after an 18 day stint in QC. All of that after waiting 8 months for an allocation.
