Not as much fun when they aren’t raced together. Not a good result for the owner of the F10 either

I think this video just shows how outdated everything pre F90 is... that leap from F10 to F90 is absolutely huge...
F10 and E60 seems to be close or almost on par... Everything pre F10 is just dinosaur age slow at this point... also I am more shocked they have a well running E60 here more than anything.

Im sure carwow has to pay for those damages to the owners who donate the cars to be on the episodes but that sucks hard. The clip about being a “mekanik” had me rolling lol.

That E39 owner drives like he means it. Awesome to see owners who aren't afraid to drive a classic hard. No offense to the E28 driver, but he was taking it pretty easy - understandable, but still.

Lol I am too. Mind you I think it helped that it only had like 9000 miles on the odometer.

not sure about racing classics. put me to sleep for a bit. i'd rather see a Toyota GR Corolla vs Honda Civic R, or MG4 vs Audi E Tron
but that's just me |

E34 M5, last of the handbuilt M's Although it'd seem 'pedestrian' nowadays my 3.6 is still my favourite out of the BMW's I've owned/own, although I wouldn't really wanna live with it nowadays but back in the nineties it was epic, well I thought it was

I know people are not very fond of the F10, but I think it's got a very classic M5 look to it; an aggressive yet somewhat understated exterior design. I'd love to drive a 6-speed example.

think about is this way... that's almost readily available for you today in the form of a manual G80 m3 RWD... with the massive updates in quality, reliability and tech, I know which one I am choosing.

You’d have way more fun running a 7 second 0-60 time in an older car than running a 3.5s time in a newer car—-AND you’d become a far better driver along the way!

E34 540i driver here. It’s in no way the same. Everything from the visibility, steering, the way the chassis loads up in the corners, and even the sound of rocks hitting the wheelwells make the experience, when compared to a modern car, entirely different. And none of that takes away from the modern cars (I own and enjoy them as well), it’s just that are not even close to being the same.

For me, the value is in getting this collection together in one place. Sort of cool to compare/contrast designs incrementally and sound. Result was completely predictable but if this was your focus you missed the point. Another solid video from Carwow and cool when they feature the owners.
