BMW x-coupe
Love it or hate it, this is where it began. The BMW X-coupe designed by Chris Bangle as a three dimensional forum for BMW’s then new “flame surfaces” the X-coupe previewed at the 2001 Detroit Auto Show. Five years later it’s starting to look like a trend-setting contemporary classic - lean, surprising - a visual paradox from any angle.... It was touted at the time as being a crossover of sorts...a sports-handling off-road coupe....which explains it's relatively high ride height. But the overall exterior design is where the action is. Possibly the most influential of all BMW’s concept cars done in the last decade. If this were the new 2-series coupe, I would love it. |

Even tho the 2-series coupe won't look like this, I'm happy to see a smaller BMW again. The 3-series coupe is longer (and larger) than ever so a 2er coupe fills in nicely as an entry level BMW coupe!

Yes, The 3-er has become a big-ish car. Sometimes, when I'm at the dealership I have a hard time distinguishing it from the 5 at a distance. The 2 will bound to be a great size...and hopefully return to the original BMW concept of a small fast car.
