Hey guys I’m at work rn so this won’t be intirely detailed but yesterday I noticed I was only hitting 7 psi at high rpm’s. It would spool up fast at low rpms and cap at around 7 at high but a quarter throttle would be around 4 psi. No wierd noises, normal induction and spooling noises. The only codes I got were 29D8: Intake air temperature - charge air temperature, comparison: Intake air temperature too high. And a shadow code 290A: Intake air temperature sensor: Multiple fault. I spent the night tightening all my bolt ons and listening for leaks but could not hear anything particular. I reflashed the car and still there. Car seems to run fine not really a shaky idle or anything but low boost, not even limp. I do have some more codes that popped up a few weeks ago but cleared and never came back but when I get home I can link logs and those codes as well. But was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this?

On car
2011 335i n55 lci
bms intake with stock sensor
Vrsf cp with stock sensor
Vrsf intercooler
vrsf catless dp
Mhd stage 2+ 93 oct
No mufflers
Stock coils and gapped 2 colder plugs

This was my log from when I got off work, same two codes popped up again. https://datazap.me/u/synnisterrr/low...13-20&mark=111

Wonder if it’s tmap or maf sensor of some sort. I’m not really sure how to read the wastegate properties on the logs if someone could help me out. Maybe it stuck open?

Plz help if you can

Also I found the code that I had a while back but cleared and still never came back even today when i took this WOT logs.

2906- Suspicion of leaks between turbocharger and intake valves.

I remember this code threw when doing a wot when I had good boost but still no boost lost when it happened even days after cleared never came back and ran high boost 19 psi.

Okay looks like I’ll be tackling this myself but imma help everyone else that has this problem hopefully.

I unplugged my maf and charge pipe sensor and my charge pipe sensor looks like the o ring is a little ripped. Maybe air is passing through that. Like I mentioned my boost leak is very small, not even throwing a low boost code. This is very plausible. Imma go get an assorted o ring kit at harbor freight today clean up sensors and let y’all know.

Grabbed some assorted 180 piece viton o rings from harbor freight for 12 after tax. Used a steep angled pick tool to take off o ring without damaging housing. Also put some maf cleaner on before hand on the o ring to help slip off. Put on an o ring from the kit and fits perfect, gonna test it out now, let y’all know how it goes.

Welp not it. Still making 7 psi, and got the same codes. Not sure what to do I feel like I’ve done everything I can with my shitty knowledge. Imma take it to my mechanic and see what’s up.

I would pressure test the system and spray any connections and gasket points with soapy water.
You can also smoke test the system.

I had a tiny leak on my Intake manifold gasket, I was getting error codes though. A leak big enough to throw an error code but a leak so small I couldn’t hear it. I replaced the gasket once I saw the bubbles and it was fine.

No, sorry.
I made one myself out of stuff I found at Home Depot or Lowe’s.
I disconnected the intercooler and one side.
I attached my tester to the intercooler and tested one side.
After that, I attached the tester to the charge pipe I disconnected from the intercooler to test the other side.
My tester didn’t fit the connections 100%, I had to use black tape to build up the intercooler edge to let the tester clamp over it.

One end of the test had an air fitting and I let air into the system and found the leak.

Hey so I talked to my mechanic and he said it’s likely my tmap since it triggers on wot. Can I test my tmap like my maf sensor and unplug it and if it runs different I can rule it as that? Or is it a different way to test like voltage?
