2 issues all of a sudden (Drivetrain/Restraint system)

I have had my 2022 xDrive 50 for about 10 months now and three issues just popped up. I have an appointment Tuesday but kind of concerned...

Drivetrain - You can continue driving. Go to the nearest service center to avoid a vehicle breakdown

Drive restraint system malfunction. I noticed the seat also doesn't move back and fort when I stop/start the car. Before the driver restraint malfunction, it said I needed to recalibrate the seat which I haven't done yet.

Has anyone had these error messages?

I think so. I put my VIN in the BMW recall website and nothing popped up.

Ok. I was asking because there are recalls related to those two things. But if you are up to date then see what your service department says.

Are you on the March 2023 (or later) software?

FYI, fault codes don’t show up on the BMW recall site. Only safety recalls like airbags and things like that. You can check a few of these sites. You can use Google translator on the last one.

Also, error messages like this are not entirely uncommon. I really only pay attention to them if it happens more than once in a short period of time. You’ll probably see them again for the driver assistance systems. Those can be caused by anything from a dirty camera to something obstructing the sensors. It doesn’t mean that something is actually wrong with the vehicle.

THIS! Every BMW I have ever owned (tons), besides from a flawless i3S and 530e pop up random warnings and errors. If they go away and do not show up again for the next drive....it is nothing!

MBZ has this issue even more than BMW, and Rolls-Royce is the worst when it comes to this.

I had this twice before. No recalls over here in fact no recall over anything. Presently on software 3/2023.53.
Slide the chair to the extremities front and back, repeat as necessary The movement was kind of jerk and stops every few inch of travel. It did get rid of the message. So still driving my ride. Yes sometimes my seat doesn't move to the preset position and i have to press the memory button i set myself to get to my driving position.

Update:

BMW replaced the coolant pump to the high voltage battery last week.

Today the car presented with another drive train error message so it's going back to service....

I had the driver restraint message last weekend, I put the seat all the way forward then all the way back and it reset the message. Worth a try

It’s not entirely uncommon to receive random malfunction warnings like this. I really wouldn’t worry about it unless it keeps happening on each vehicle start.
