Finally Order In!!!
After 2 months of waiting ...
Finally received a production number! I wonder how fast it moves along after this is received? All of the cf bucket seat issue worries me ... but another waiting begins!! |

Do you know which production week you are in? Also it looks like order with carbon buckets are making their way down the production lines.

I have no clue about the production week, don't they have to accept the order to get production week? or it just comes with its allocation?

I'm in the same spot, just secured an allocation and production number. Is that the point where the sales manager will also receive the build week? Or does that follow after?

Either you can call bmw genius or call your CA, they should have build week if you got your production number now.

Got it, thanks for the help. I'm new to this process so it's been a learning experience for sure.
Also, love your spec and taste for obvious reasons!

Order received is status 102 (special orders) or 111. If you're 102 you won't have a tentative build week yet. Once you hit 112 is when you should have a fairly standard build week, and 150 is when you get your VIN and have an assigned production completion date. Here's more info on the production status numbers. |

AFAIK there were never really issues with M4 buckets. They're different parts than the M3 since it has the fold/release for the back seats, so you should be completely good with that.

I was told by my dealership m4s were not getting buckets either as of recently and that chances of me getting them were really low

Not sure if that's really true. They may have been looking at the M3 situation and been applying that across the board; they may not know they're not the same part. But, as far as what we've seen here, M4s have had little to no trouble with buckets, and they're still available on the configurator online, unlike the M3.
