B&O coding on iDrive 8?

Has anyone successfully coded the Bang and Olufsen EQ onto iDrive 8? I know it was a thing on iDrive 7 but not sure if that worked for the new systems.

I had kubax86 try and code it into mine but I can't find it anywhere. Not sure if it didn't go through or its just not possible.

Check if you have the concert setting as part of your choices. On mine it shows Bang and Olufsen on the top banner of that screen.

Thanks, what screen is that in and you are referring to iDrive 8, correct?

I drive 8, on the sound eq settings. I can't remember. I can try looking the pathway tomorrow.
To me it sounds better, but I got the ASD coded off at the same time.

Yes, just coded in in iD8. I have not upgraded to the newest version on BimmerCode due to the issue with that version not really turning off ASD. Custom colors for ambient lighting is next.

Just so I'm clear, this gives B&O tuning options for the standard M3/M4 HK audio system?

Do you notice a difference in the sound quality?

All the B&O profiles sound slightly worse than default to me, not really surprising as they were tuned for audio hardware the car doesn’t have.

Kind of. You get the B&W Sound Profiles shown in the last pic of post #5 above. Obviously, you don't get the whole B&W experience. It's a small, but worthwhile upgrade imo.

To clarify, you guys that are stating B&O.

It is NOT B&O

It is B&W. Bowers & Wilkins.

and yes I did code mines to B&W. and it made a difference in the Front stage. I like it better. Bass wise it was cleaner but not was punchy as default HK.

Update, the B&W concert seems to be the best for me.

Now, I have installed the Bimmertech Alpha One amp. Simple plug and play (expensive) and the sound difference is well worth the money, imho.

Much more deep bass and clarity. For some that will be enough.

I will upgrade the speakers eventually, but not necessary unless I get a smoking deal on speakers, then I will do it.

I will wait untill BF sale to upgrade the ghost subs first.

I followed the Bimmertech tech YouTube video and the instructions that came with the amp. If you are a DIYer it is at a 1 or 2. The included harness is simple plug and play, you can't mess it up. The hard part is removing all the panels.

The amp come pre-loaded from Bimmertech for our cars.

Something to note, the OEM speakers are not good enough to handle the extra power. Eventually you will have to upgrade the speakers.

Correct. You have to choose your type of music on their webpage.

It all depends if you will be doing any other mods and how important is your music listening experience. I have done must of mine and I always upgrade the sound system on my cars, so it was a forward progression.

It is expensive but it definitely made a big difference. I don't think there is many alternatives that are plug and play and seemless installation.

I know there are other threads here that go over other alternatives, but more intrusive.

This is almost certainly the only sound mod I'd be doing. Not really interested in ripping out all the speakers, so this seemed like the easiest way to get a better sound signature, but it's still quite expensive, so I was just looking for some opinions.

It seems like a good upgrade, but I'll have to think on it a bit more.

Did you code out ASD as well?

ASD is coded off. The first thing I did. You will be fine with this amp. I went for a long drive today, played with the EQ settings a bit more and you will definitely hear the difference for sure. I am very happy with the amp.
