4 mile 22 X7?

How is this even possible to have an X7 MY22 at this time at 4 mileage?

Many dealers don't make the effort to record and maintain accurate odometer data. I was buying an on-lot new Lexus a couple years ago that had been listed as having 7 miles on it. During the paperwork, the SA hands me the odometer disclosure that was conveniently buried in the middle of the doc stack, revealing that this "new" vehicle had 236 miles on it, expecting that I would sign without reading. I got up and walked out.

if you go to the dealer listing they have a service receipt for a tire swap at 1540 miles. seems like just lazy site updating.

call them and ask, i suspect its probably >1540 miles.
the one service receipt was from probably their first tire swap. the pic might be from when the car was first put into stock

Irregardless of miles I would not touch a 22 unless you know for sure it has not options missing. Even then I’d be concerned with where else they cut corners on these COVID era cars.

Looks like the prev owner was a billionaire and he forgot all about this car and he lives next door to that dealership.
I can't think of anything else.

That's a very strange find, that you got there.

I bought my first BMW from these guys. They had a posting on an X1 and when I got there. They told me the car was a loaner car. Great detail to leave out when your trying to sell a new car lol.

Please, let’s stop with the fake news about the ‘22s. Yes, there are some (often unimportant) options missing due to supply chain issues, but to suggest that covid made these cars sick and less desirable is just nonsense. My fully loaded 2022 is the best car I’ve ever owned, full stop.

And speaking of fake news, “irregardless”.

Isn’t that the individual mileage setting? Not the total factory mileage. There is also a refueling mileage option to toggle.

Haha thanks for making me feel better about the 22 I just picked up. So far loving the car and no deletions that I’ve noticed.

Lol. Great to hear yours is problem free and hope it stays that way, however objectively speaking, many options were deleted and standard features outright removed or changed so it’s not out of the ordinary to think other corners were cut. Doesn’t take away that any X7 is still pretty great, just not as great compared to pre COVID models.

You are good. I got a '22 also. Its just fine so far. So anybody just blaming every '22s its just total BS.

Yes, I agree that '20s are having more options. My car is only missing the RSE and IR Nightvision. These are not technically deletions, but discontinuations after 2020.

This one is far better in the looks(to me) and build quality when compared with the LCI.
BMW know that, they released a great product in 2019 and they already got enough fanbase and customers to sustain their future sales for many years to come. Everybody looking for bigger and bigger SUVs. So they have room to cut corners now and get max profit out of X7 segment, which is evident from feature removals starting 2020 models.

So let me ask does covid really played a real part in degrading the quality?

No, individual here says 0.3 miles. The Total (means everything since the car starts rolling) is 4 only.
This picture definitely has to be one of those historic ones.

The 23s and 24s appear to have more issues than the 22s

It’s common knowledge for most all German brands, but certainly Porsche, that the ‘best’ models to buy are the end of run years. The 1993 Porsche 964s, the 1997/8 993s, same with 996s, 997s, etc. All the bugs are worked out of the manufacturing process, they’re the newest, and these have proven over time to be the most valuable (and reliable) of each model. This includes multiple recessions or other downturns where costs, supply chains, and build quality were at issue.

Same thing will almost certainly apply to the pre-LCI X7. Well optioned ‘21s and ‘22s will command a premium over similar (options and mileage) ‘19s and ‘20s. Time will tell whether the cost-saving ‘features’ of the LCI (more touch screens, less buttons, for example) will have an impact on desirability.

We're straying a bit from the OP's original topic, but I prefer my '22 X7 for its lack of the mild hybrid system, for its pre-LCI dashboard, and for its IDrive 7 interface. All personal preferences, of course.

Please clarify on "lack of mild hybrid system".
Mine has that 48V battery, that gets charged during braking. I see the battery performance animation on the screen also. This is what BMW referring to mild hybrid system.. right?

Do they remove this feature in '22 cars ? I am curious now.

Some have it (40i, 40d?) and some don’t (50i?).

I know my 40d has it and it’s an outstanding feature. It works silently and seamlessly and significantly reduces (edit: improves) gas mileage without any impact on performance. I’ve lived with annoying and intrusive start/stop systems from Porsche and the difference is night and day. Can’t understand all the hate and disabling via coding of this feature from the community.

Apologies for hijacking the thread…
