Does anybody know what wrap this is? I’ve found something similar but not quite as dark. I’ve attached the link below

Hmm. I didn’t think of that. I thought that it was a chrome wrap of sorts because of the reflection on the door

Ceramic coating and a fresh detail on a new car looks pretty glossy on darker paint. Here’s my previous m340i:

Oh yeah your right. How long does it stay that glossy before you need a reapplication?

Most ceramic coatings are 3-5 years recommended. I think Gyeon infinite is 10 years. I believe that’s the longest you can get published from a manufacturer.

I went with the 5-year Gyeon myself because I don’t plan on keeping the M550i for more than 3-4 years anyway.

But really the answer is in your maintenance of the product. Any ceramic coating properly maintained should last reasonably long. If you don’t properly hand wash, or if you’re in an area that’s sees a lot of rough winters (salt, rocks, etc.) then you probably would see a loss of gloss around 2-3 years.

I’ve got Ceramic Pro. Supposed to last 7 years. We shall see. But it will last years, regardless. Have to maintain.

But it takes very little to get that gloss back out of a maintenance wash. It’s worth it if you can spare the change and if you appreciate a glossy, clean car.

Makes washing and drying very easy also.

No matter what ceramic you went with, trust me, you are going to want/need to do it again in three years.
