Pirelli PZ4 vs Michelin Pilot Sport 4
Hi all - need new tires for my '21 X5 40i. Have been running the Pirellis without issue. Live in Maryland...winters are pretty mild and I run a dedicated winter set. Anyone have any experience with the Michelins? Both review well...just looking for something anecdotal that might sway me one way or another.

Also agree that P Zero are trash once they wear past 50%, I went through 3 sets in 2 years as they are awful at 3.5mm tread or below. |

I have the 21 inch wheels. Not sure if it matters but for either option (the Pirelli Pzero PZ4 Luxury or the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV MO XL) I'd be going with a RFT.

I just replaced my MY19 original set of 21” staggered P-Zero RFT summer tires at 32K with even a little tread left. This was split across LA & Nashville with spirited driving too. I was shocked at how much mileage I got out of them, especially after seeing the 12K-15K max warnings on this forum. I bought the same set out the door at a local BMW dealership for $2150 with $200 coming back in rebates. I was super impressed with the performance during every season, especially summer — never switched to a winter set once. I also didn’t experience any degradation in performance at the lower tread life — no noise, vibration, or slip. Would fully recommend P-Zero’s given my personal experience.
