Don’t ever try opening the top with your key, stop midway, and try to close.

Convertible top temporarily unable to open/close was the error message. I bought the car yesterday… (‘14 F33 with perfect maintenance through 130k)

Solution was to open and close the trunk a few times, turn the engine on and was able to close.

Feeling less foolish now but felt like sharing.
