Latest iDrive Update
Hi All,
I was just curious to see what the latest available iDrive update file you could download from https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html It was showing my vehicle up-to-date, however, when I was able to download the UPD09051.bin from the forums and put it in my vehicle it showed an update available on the iDrive and proceeded to update the car. Before the update, my version was as follows: Media: MB 001.062.040 Telephone: TB 001.062.032 Add-on: HB 001.062.032 After updating this morning it is now as follows: Media: MB 001.062.040 Telephone: TB 001.064.050 Add-on: HB 001.063.050 This got me thinking Is there any other update available after the UPD09051? If so what is the version since apparently I cannot trust the BMW website I am hunting on my own? If you have another update after the mentioned I would appreciate it if you shared the version number. Thanks... Last edited by omera60; 12-25-2023 at 09:48 AM.. |

Hi Kubax,
Yes I know, even though the car is running the latest I level which in my case F020-23-07-530 I am having some connection problems since iOS 16.5 regarding using the USB port with my iPhone. That is why I went on a hunt for the Bluetooth update. The iPhone will connect with Bluetooth just fine both for phone and music but if I connect the phone to the USB port via either Apple Original or BMW lightning cable it starts having problems and display messages on the iDrive such as “Not Connected”, “Not Supported” or “Reading”. I went to Apple about this but they couldn’t do anything, after some troubleshooting they suggested I just wait for the new iPhone updates I was running iOS 16.6 at the time of the troubleshoot now I am on iOS 16.6.1. The interesting thing is if I don’t connect via USB at all the Bluetooth music works just fine, however, if I were to connect it via USB and then remove and try Bluetooth it cannot connect to the phone even though telephone function works without any issues. That’s why I asked specifically if there is any other update other than UPD09051.bin. As I mentioned above BMW’s own site didn’t even show me 09051.bin as available for my car and just stated my car is up-to-date. |
