Kind of a bummer that they aren't releasing a M2 specific setup given the rates are different between the cars.

I agree, but all the coilovers and HASs on sale for the M2 are exactly the same as for the M3/4, so I assume the difference in springs rate is negligible.
If anything, the approval part is not at all clear, but that only concerns European customers.

Spring rate is firmer on the front and softer on the rear in the M2.

The HAS kits are for people that just want to lower there car, those kits people drop them down low and people are blowing their factory shocks/struts.

I feel like once we are talking about Ohlins/AST/Moton etc, even the base kits should be developed for the actual car not just M3/M4 stuff carried over.

Also the Bmw MP HAS is the same for both M2 and M3/4, or the KW V4 which is not really a basic or cheap product.
I am not aware of any coilover kits designed specifically for the M2 and not taken over by the M3/4.

Ohlins engineers did their part and find that the kit is perfectly fine for the G87 M2 as well.

Just like on the F8X chassis 50% are perfectly fine with the rates out of the box for their F8x M, but the other 50% want something different.

Feel free to reach out to us for custom rates of your particular driving needs.

Not as expensive as I’d normally expect Ohlins to be at about CAD$4,300 (USD$3100): https://www.parkautomotorsports.ca/p...ive-bms-mw00s1

It is about the price of a KW V3 and much less than a V4, fair enough.

so is this system considered a 2-way or a 1-way? It looks like both compression and rebound are adjustable but they are linked together with a single adjusting knob and not independent- Am I understanding this correctly?

Ohlins R&T is monotube one way with one knob. However, it does affect compression. it is 90% rebound and 10% compression.
