F31 Power Tailgate Issue

Evening all

I’ve had a couple of issues with my power tailgate on my F31

On 2 occasions now, it’s either opened ok but then won’t close

Or

Won’t open at all on the button

I’m assuming there’s only 2 possible causes, and that’s the boot latch or the electronic struts themselves

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes; earlier this year. It was fixed under warranty (new switch etc)

Don't know what the fault codes were unfortunately; but the tailgate would close, but not pull shut, or it'd slam shut, hard and then not open for a while

Glass section was faultless
