Poor on-center steering feel

I have a strange feeling in the steering wheel on-center...feels like a soft clunk or similar. No noise. When I view it and the front tire, it seems to be moving the tire/wheel without any "lag" or loss of movement, but just a strange feeling. The feeling gives sense of something is loose, despite the tire/wheel moving at the slightest steering wheel movement. Definitely gonna have the dealer look at it. Anyone else having a similar feeling?
