Question about the gear shift lever.

Thinking about going from my 2022 into a 2024. I wonder how that new and I feel crappy shifter switch works? How do you shift into manual mode? Something I do quite often to keep the AC running lol

It works fine. You get used to it. You simply pull back again to get sport mode and then use the paddle shifters if you want full manual control. The stalk looked better, but the little nub works too.

They should have left all the buttons alone and just added the curved new screens. It's a cycle. Like honda. Lets take away the simple volume knob and give you a touch pad you have to concentrate on hitting multiple times. Wtf.

I thought I would be annoyed by the change, but I actually have grown to like the simplicity of the small gear selector. The shifter makes the center console area feel more open, with easier access to the cupholders and phone charger from the driver's side.

Does anyone actually do manual shifting with the shift knob? I occasionally tilt it left (pre-LCI) to put the trans into sport mode, but I only ever use the paddles to shift. Looks like in the LCI instead of "tilt it left/right" we now have "pull it back." Very minor difference. And though the pre-LCI shifter does look pretty nice, the new button saves a lot of space. Not really a downgrade in my opinion. Though I've never used it.
