Watched the review. Rode very well and obvious points were the handling is good but the weight of the vehicle is noticeable

Apparently they think it looks more front wheel drive than rear wheel drive, and the interior has some cheap touches to it. Also, being compared in looks to a KIA Cadenza is not a good thing.

I think we ended up the week pretty neutral on the looks. But overall this was one of the few press cars in a while that I was upset to give back. Really quite a lovely vehicle, especially the ride.

I wouldnt mind comparing to a KIA. Hyundai KIA are making some impressive design now, and they hire designers previously worked for Germans.

When you have heritage you follow your heritage, for example Porsche. For a well established premium brand to be chasing what KIA is doing, shows they’re losing their way as the leaders they’re were known for.

I did not say they chase KIA. No one did. It is more like younger manufacturers spent more money to catch up with established ones.

Always enjoy your reviews. Do you really think it's more Lexus than BMW (soft, quiet, and powerful)? Have a G30 540i now and considering move to G60 540ix, but still want the BMW sportiness.

To be fair they didn't make the Kia comparison on their own, they quoted "people saying" which I read as "people on Bimmerpost featured threads are posting".

This actually brings me back to 2016 when Alfa Romeo Giulia was first revealed, and the "Kia Optima" comparisons started coming in from die-hard Alfisti. Same exact phenomenon, and it's what makes the internet fun.

How much time did you spend with the M550i? I had one before getting the CS and liked it quite a bit. You mention a bunch of areas you think the i5 M60 was upgraded from the M550i or the same (steering) — but what do you think was better in it? Sound/V8 feel would be an obvious one I’m sure. The M550i is a bit faster from a standstill or maybe even dead even? 3.6-3.8s seems about where it is at. Great reviews btw. One of my favorite channels.

One of the better reviews in my opinion
It might be a 5 still but it looks to be quite a different animal
Comparing to the m550 is perhaps the obvious one to compare to, rare here though in the U.K.

It’s not for me, more than happy with my m550 .

Styling is subjective but it feels like bmw have become too gimmicky and some cost savings evident in places, those door cars shown in the review look particularly bad

For those of us in Europe, is this now getting too large?

As expected, yet another BMW that outside a straight line is a soft squishy luxo-barge

I’d love to see the rear all the same color- is this something you could also wip up? You’ve got me curious if the reason I’m not vibing over the car is all the black shiny plastic…

The reviewer couldn't figure out how to turn off traction control.

For those interested: here's how to actually turn it off, according to the manual

Would you say the ride is better than it was on the G30 M550i? In terms of ride, do you mean it's softer/more refined?

Also, could it be the M550i you had for a week, was that model on RunFlat Tires or None RunFlat?

Since all new G60's are going with None RunFlat tires, I am wondering if that was the main difference in providing such a good ride quality in the i5 M60 you test drove.

Apparently you can map any menu item to 1 of these 2 gesture inputs.

Imagine mapping the five-0-five gesture to DSC OFF
