Auto-Fold on Reverse for driver side
Hello,
X7 owner based in the US (LHD) here. I have the side-view mirror flipped to the driver side and upon reverse, the passenger side side-view mirror automatically lowers so I can see the curb. How do I also get the driver side mirror to automatically lower on reverse as well. Is this working as intended or a bug that it doesn't reverse. For context, on my Tesla M3, both mirrors lower down. Thank you! |

…and just in case the OP doesn’t know it…if there’s ever a time you don’t want the passenger mirror to tilt-down-in-reverse….you can simply deactivate this feature by moving the switch that controls which mirror you are adjusting to the right (passenger’s side).
Just bringing it up because there may be a time you need to go into reverse and not have the mirror dip down to the curb…but remain in place so that you can see obstacles that are higher up. This has been a BMW design element for decades (at least going back to 1985 with my first BMW e30 3 series)

You can see the coding selection below from the BimmerCode.app website for the pre-LCI X7:
