Rectangle in grille updated?
Lately, I have noticed that there seem to be some updated versions of the black grille. The eDrive40 model from the Remove Before Race review and the latest spy shots of the i5 Touring M60 have a more defined central part.

That's how it is currently.
Both have M Sport Pro. The e40 (above) and the other M60 with a completely different grill.

Sounds like they are listening to feedback as it had some negative comments and presumably in the grand scheme of things, an easy and cheap fix.

My i5 m60 was delivered on Saturday. Mine initially went into production in early to mid November and it does not have the modification to the rectangular part of the grill. If you look at all the pics in this thread, they all have the european tags. I suspect the modification was solely a European mod.

I am in the United States. My car is on a ship currently. On the my BMW app where it shows pictures of the car (computer generated of course) it has the updated grill. Hopping it comes with the update.

I'm not sure I understand what is being discussed here. I've attached a picture of the front grill of the ICE cars. Is this the new or old version of the kidney grill being discussed? As far as I know, this is the grill coming on all the ICE cars

I was watching a video from Alan at BMW Durham in Canada and the g60 he was previewing has the new grill. I wonder if it is a European and Canadian modification. Mine was just delivered in Atlanta and it does not have the modification

I am in Canada and mine has the same as Scrapula pictured above. Took delivery end November so probably one of the first models that was available. The one I saw at the dealership last Friday had the "newer" grill.
