Alignment off?
Hello,
I have about 300 miles on my G87 now, and have noticed that the steering wheel is always pointed slightly left when going perfectly straight (no matter the road’s crown). I know I haven’t hit anything to disrupt the alignment. Will the dealer help me out or will I have to pay for an alignment? Anyone with a similar experience? Thanks, FS |

My port installed HAS car arrived without paperwork verifying alignment. After a very brief discussion, dealer agreed (kudos) to check which was fortuitous as the car was badly out of alignment. Unsure if this helps any but it does illustrate every car is not delivered on spec. Good luck.

Just had the 1200 mile service done and reported the alignment off for me too. It doesn't pull but the steering wheel always needs to be slightly to the left when traveling straight. They tried to perform an alignment but as said here they do not have the proper specs for our cars yet.

Did anyone have it checked to see if it was off based on the mounting of the steering wheel (spline?) or did everyone have corrected via alignment?

The dealership that sold me the car will not perform an alignment through warranty. Another dealership will though! So at least I am getting it fixed…

Also, be sure you ask the steering wheel be centered. My experience is this is *not* done automatically by the tech. It has to be requested. |

I am almost shocked... my blue stripe is left of 12'00 ... I had not looked at this tread b4 today.. called the sales rep and told him about this within 1st 300 miles... going in for the 1,200 mile service and should not be an issue,,, how can so numerous of us have steering wheels that are not centered ??
I acknowledge that I don't need a stripe to keep me in the center of the road, but if it's going to be there, get it correct !!!! |
