Can't start the i5 m60 in sport mode?

Am I over looking this? No option to start my i5 m60 in sport mode. I could in my i4 edrive40...or should say it'd start in last mode driven, including sport.

Thank you for sharing that. The key here is "some modes can be set as start mode"...sadly, Sport mode is not one of them as is missing the check mark / activate box that the others have. I was hoping that I was just overlooking something but seems I am not.

So yea. While it won't start in sport mode I've assigned the two finger gesture point to it for the win. Super smooth....Fast....Easy. No need to dink around with short cuts. No need to dink around with modes button. No need to ask bmw to do it. Etc.

Doing this myself once in my own G60!

Works very well, too. Just don't over exaggerate the pointing like I had for the first 5 mins

and you're in. A simple extend of the fingers from the correct distance and it recognizes, and immediately changes to sport mode.

I understand that the gesture sensor is infrared, but still curious how well does it work at night?

Perfectly. In fact, I had set it up and tested it w closed door, lights off in garage. Then again early this morning. Np
