Ground Clearance of the G60? 6.5 inches?

BMW stopped publishing ground clearance unlike other brands several years ago. If you google G60 Ground clearance I was seeing 6.5 inches. That is higher than the outgoing model at 5.5 inches. Is It possible that the new car has an extra inch under the chassis? I know you ride up higher with the Electric platform but was hoping it might actually have better ground clearance. Any ideas? Why does BMW not publish this?

The ground clearance on the G60 is a maximum of 154 mm = 6". On the i5 a little less = 146 mm.

So an X Drive 530 would be the maximum of 6.0 right? Non-M Sport? Where did you get that info from? Seems a bit higher than other BMW cars that are around 5.5. Is the higher clearance due to the platform being gas or electric?

BMW does not provide any information on the HP because the ground clearance is approximately 130 to 154 mm depending on the model and equipment.
But the largest German automobile club has all the data ready.

M60 = 136 mm
e40 = 146 mm
520d = 154 mm
530/540 = Not in GER.

What’s reason for asking, is for water depth?

I know driving through any water is potentially a very expensive mistake but with the battery at the bottom of the chassis, I guess this is something all you BEV drivers need to be aware of and adhere to. Thought of driving through say 8 inches of water is fearful

I believe you are better off in an EV driving through water. They are sealed, although that might not be true for every vehicle. I’ve had blown head gaskets in an ICE car and the water was not that deep.
