Squeaky Windows
I’ve had the car for a year now and recently the windows started squeaking at the top of the range. I guess i can rub lube onto the rubber seals but this is a +50k car and I don’t want to add that to my routine maintenance list lol. Are there any suggestions short of doing that to remedy the situation?

Gummi Pflege. And clean the glass where it contacts the rubber and clean the rubber. Use a good glass cleaner on the glass. For the rubber I just wipe it down with a damp towel. For clarity's sake I should state the glass gets cleaned and the rubber gets wiped down then with the rubber dry you can apply some Gummi Pflege. Maybe. While I clean the glass when it gets dirty and wipe down the rubber almost every time I wash my cars I only apply Gummi Pflege maybe 2 times a year. Not so much to address noise -- the glass cleaning pretty much takes care of that -- but to help preserve the rubber weather seals. Not only the area that touches glass but all of them, around the doors, trunk lid, etc. |
