Hi Everyone,

I am excited to be writing this after finally receiving my new 2024 X1 M35i. After a 3 and a half month wait (due largely to a stop sale having to do with interior trim that delayed things 4-6 weeks), the car landed at the dealership yesterday and I picked it up later in the day.

Order Spec:

Exterior: Black Sapphire Metalic - 475
Interior: Red/ Black Bicolor Perforated Veganza - KUKP
Interior Trim: Aluminum Hexacube Trim II with Ambient Light - ZWT
Wheels: 20" 872M Wheels - 1EN

Packages:
-Premium Package - ZPP & 7EW
-Driving Assistance Pro Package - ZDY
-M Sport Professional Pro Package (Red Brakes) - ZMQ & 33B

Additional Options:

I have been a big BMW guy for as long as I can remember. This will be the 4th BMW I will be taking delivery of in 14+ years behind the wheel (plus my wife's X3). My first was a 2011 135i Coupe (DCT, Jet Black, Coral Red), second was a 2014 M235i (6 Speed, Black Sapphire, Coral Red) and third was a 2018 M2 (6 Speed Black Sapphire, Black w/ Blue stitch). The M2 has been in the garage for almost 6 years now, and though it started life as my everyday driver, it has shifted into a track day/ weekend toy.

I sold my previous daily driver back in January (2019 VW GLI 6 Speed) with the intention of driving a family member's car who was going to be away for 6 months with the intention of getting something new in the summer. Long story short, nothing was really sparking my attention, but in July when BMW announced the X1 M35. I love the look of the new X1 and with the added sporty touches, I was sold.

Some high level initial impressions are:

- The ride is firm, but nothing like my M2 track toy. Perfect fit for a daily driver for me.
- The car has all the nice new tech features that I was looking for.
- The car is super quiet. After trying it off and on, I am choosing to leave the active sound on because it sounds nice and sporty... even if it isn't real.
- I can see what everyone is taking about with the delay getting going on the DCT. Already annoying me but I assume with some time I will somewhat get used to it.
- More impressions to come as the miles ramp up in the future...

Here are a few photos I snapped at home. The X1 was washed yesterday but it’s done 100 miles since then and the dealer didn’t do a stellar wash job, so it can use a little clean up. Tint and Ceramic Coating coming in the next few weeks. Also adding a few in the driveway with my wife’s X3 and my M2 in the garage.

Window sticker still shows M Sport Profesional Package for $1,500, if you go back to the configurator it will show it at $1,100.
I was able to negotiate down the $400 difference when I purchased mine.

So we figured out the discrepancy. The wheel option initially was a seperare 600 dollar option. But eventually it ended up being included in the M Sport Pro Pack at the 1500 instead of being 1500 plus 600 for wheels.

Does that line up with what you’re seeing on your end?

No. The M Sport Pro Pack originally was $1,500 when we ordered, the changed to $1,100 sometime after. That is why I was able to negotiate the new price.
I didn't have the $600 for the wheels in window sticker neither.

I see. It’s weird. Originally I saw the 1500 and 600 with the wheels sepesate. And on my sticker the 600 for wheels was just absorbed into the 1500. Very weird.

But you are right, the configurator is still wrong one way or the other.
