X3 M Sport adjustable width seats

2018 X3 M Sport has the adjustable width back of seats. They’re great and one of my favorite parts of the car.

I just brought it in to a non BMW auto shop to have the brakes replaced. Upon pickup, the sides of the driver’s seat are bumpy down the front. They slightly deflate, but not like they did before and I’ve never seen the ripples.

Any ideas on what may have happened. Did something pop?

I would recommend to contact the shop and bring it back ASAP, it sounds like they might accidentally damaged it while performing the work.
