G01 X3 with M4 Wheels

Would it be sketch AF to add wheel adapters and hub centric rings to allow my F82 wheels to fit this 2021 X3? I know this isnt the most optimal idea, but would it work and would it be entirely unsafe? I've ran wheels spacers for years without issue with hard track use . Id imagine on a daily X3 it would fine. Flame away, any one with real insight will be appreciated!

I have several spare sets of wheels for the F82 with new tires already. Save the "just go buy new wheels" lol. I prolly will but would still like to rock these wheels until then.

If the wheels don't rub and clears the brakes then why not. Have to check offset with the added spacers and see if it makes sense since you have spare wheels, but what is the PCD on the F82 wheels?

There’s a circa 800kg / 1700lbs difference in weight between the two vehicles (depending on the spec sheet you look at) so I’d double check the wheel loading is good also!

It's 5x120 with a 72.6 Hub bore for the wheels that would go on 5x112 with a hub bore of 66.56 for the X3. I'm thinking a wheel adapter and some rings would make it fit. I'd have to test fit to make sure the M wheel are not too wide but they are very close to the same size as the X3M wheels.

I can’t see these fitting with the thickness of a spacer you’re going to need to convert from 112 to 120. Curious to see how it turns out though. Some of the f series wheels would look great on the g series.

Looks like it will be an 1" thick I found another that 18mm. You may be right tho. It may stick out too far. I'll have to do a test fit first . I just got hopeful reading other work X3M's were adding spacers and it worked for their application. I was mainly wanting to make sure using a hub centric ring with a wheel adapter was safe. Seemed questionable, but looks as if others have done it. I'll probably just buy wheels. lol.

If you use the wheel/tire calculator at the following site…you can get a visual as well as the numerical value (metric) when you compare your old wheel/tire specs to the new wheel/tire specs.

Do remember that if you are adding a spacer to the new wheel…you SUBTRACT the thickness of the spacer from the wheel’s offset. So if the wheel has a 35mm offset and you use a 10mm spacer…the new offset with the wheel & spacer will be 25mm (not 45mm).

Compare your old vs new wheel/tire setup at this site: www.willtheyfit.com
