App & Map dont work

Hello guys,
As of Friday maps are totally mot workkng ( see pic ). As if it can not locate where the car is at at any time. Also, i cant heat, lock or unlock car from the app. App also wont show state of charge.
Has anyone encountered this issue?

I booked visit with dealer on Jan 24

The app intermittently has issues, usually server side with nothing that you can do on your end to change that. They *usually* don't last very long but people have regularly reported the app having issues for several days and then starts working again out of nowhere. This doesn't often affect everyone at the same time, likely due to some distributed server side architecture, and I have not personally had it down for more than a day at a time. YMMV.

The GPS not working.... if that persists after several deep sleeps and reboots it points to a hardware issue that the dealer will have to address. If you haven't already rebooted idrive, that's always the first thing you should try on your end. If you are lucky, it could fix both issues.

press and hold the volume scroll wheel for around 30 seconds (or until the screen shuts off) and you will see it restart

Update apps and services at the bottom of the settings menu. There was a known BMW connected drive backend server issue that was resolved as of 1/25 this morning.

Thanks. I tried this but it says this function is not available. I am getting the emergency call system malfunction alarm too. I think the system is disconnected to connected drive. I tried restarting and everything but nothing fixed it.

Solved: Lost GPS position and Emergency Call Failiure. Its a software issue.
Got the same problem thursday 18 Jan. Problem disapeared monday 22 Jan before we got a technician. Our iX was updated to Software 11/2023.53 (from 11/2023.30 when we got the problem). Now all works fine. If you still have this problem, go to BMW and get a software upgrade.

I had same issue , they said some TCS hardware was replaced , now gps reporting wrong location , went to dealer again they said hardware is good software has glitch wait for 3 months for the fix !

Until then use CarPlay for maps !

Surprising how bmw installed bad hardware as replacement when their maps software doesnot support it !

I am also affected by the nav map issue, it shows my location 30 miles away. Jan 24 production date, got it in March, map failed on the second day. Took it to the dealer, same response you got, software bug, no fix at the moment, please use CarPlay. They had no idea when the fix will be rolled out, suggested it would be a formal recall notice. Very annoying to say at least for $90k plus car 😡

Yeah quite surprising , I also called bmw directly ! They said they don’t know what to do ! Other than wait !

Lot of features that work with maps stopped too .

I agree paying so much for these services and then they broke it and then no remedy !!
