Bottle Jack

Has anyone actually "used" a bottle jack on their X1 yet? I purchased the following one to keep in the trunk/boot (in addition to the OEM jack).

I tested it today in the garage and found:

1. The handle has limited travel to be able to quickly pump up the jack
2. While it seemed to lift the car body, the front wheel wasn't lifted off the ground.

I might try it again but has anyone used one that actually works?

I'm confused, where is your lifting point? Is it inside one of the four 1"x2" receiving holes I see under the body?

I have used these locations for swapping to winter tires and had no issue getting the clearance needed

p.s. I had a 2018 R1200 GSA, best bike I ever owned

Ah, never thought of overall lift height. Thanks for the link for the pads, I just use a 1"x2" hardwood block that fits into the recess.
