Does anyone know how the dealer should report clean vehicle credit information to the IRS? I purchased a 45e in Feb 2023, and according to IRS, the seller needs to report the sale to IRS before a buyer can claim for the tax credit. Welcome to the forum. Your link tells them the various ways to report it. Unfortunately it seems like most dealers just ignored the 15400 reporting requirement last year so now many are scrambling to report it. While hopefully they do it, it shouldn't affect your ability to get the credit, just file for it and you should be fine.
