Does the X6 2024 include the LED sunroof lighting or is the "Executive Package" the
I was building a custom X6 M60i on BMW & saw the “Executive Package” has the “Panoramic Sunroof LED”
Does that mean if I don’t select that package I won’t get it? |

Correct. I have it but it’s just a gimmick imo. If I could order a vehicle to my exact spec, it wouldn’t include a sunroof at all.

Can you explain what you mean by a gimmick? I heard they’re only truly visible at night & obviously the driver can’t really see them, but do love the ambient feature about it. For some reason I can’t justify the price

It looks nice but the novelty wears off quickly. From driver's seat, I can't really see. My two kids who are under 10 and sit in the back don't really care for it. When we first got the car I was more excited about this sunroof than the kids.

I can be a sucker for things like this. They look cool, but the novelty always wears off pretty quickly and it only impresses any guests in the car. Still, if I could add it for $500-600, I probably would

To directly answer your query, yes...I believe the only way to get it is through the Executive Package, which includes other, perhaps more useful, goodies including HK audio, remote engine start, rear window shades, live cockpit pro with HUD, etc.

I think it’s neat when in the car at night, and l like the elegance of the crystal shifter, start/stop button and iDrive controller. Gesture control when I remember the capability, but what I most appreciate are the soft close doors that you can on the Executive Package.

I like it. I creates a nice relaxing ambience along with the speakers and lighting strips. I'd rather have it on a $100k vehicle than not.

Haha ambient bedroom light. I’m calling it that from now on. To be honest I’m a sucker for RGB. I’ll probably get it. Do you know if you’re able to use the color red? |

You're correct, it's part of the executive package.

On the previous X5 I always kept The sunroof shade closed. I decided this time to keep the sunroof shade open to let in light and take advantage of the beautiful sunroof. So far its been great. We’ll see come summer.

All ambient lighting is technically a gimmick - I don't understand why some people complain about it in one particular location but not everywhere else in the car.
If you want a sunroof anyway, may as well get the illuminated one IMO. |

I do wish the SkyView was brighter, but it's kinda one of those things that makes the vehicle feel more special than a standard car. |
